Plein Air Invitation

Come over to my porch to paint
I've set up roses with lime
Greens and yellows have begun to blot the sycamores
My neighbor has just cut her grass
So the breeze is intoxicating, and in my yard
Dandelions are out in full flavor.

Snow has softened new year's morning
Trim for the ground and dark maple's breast
Whose watchful mother finger twigs
Hold fast her robin's empty nest
