At sunset by the lower lake where we walked
Cold wild darkness came over
Geese lurked and lingered at the bridge
Their green glowing eyes floated in the cat tails
And in pools of simmering concentric waves
White starch moon flickered on the water

Harmonicas Play
she says his song reminds her of
the streets of paris
he smiles --the goat-footed
balloon man --
takes her hand
kisses her long fingers
harmonicas play thin silver rain
the streets of paris

balloon man --
takes her hand
kisses her long fingers
harmonicas play thin silver rain
